Yesterday i was with my family at the celebration which was were the border had been . We gone around and we came to something that looked to me like an feeder for the field on the other side of it . My mother told me that this was the boundary ditch , and i remarked that we just gone through the former death-zone of the border .
Theres on the most placed nothing more left that that trench . The Walls , the concrete-tiling streets of the border guards , the watch towers , the mines an all the other stuff the put up to form that border is gone except that trench . But that is alone too less to remember , maybe the people wanted that to be , you know forget that bad history .
But is forgetting the best way , when it is that we forgetting what the people of the former GDR done when the gone out at thousands to protest against an system they don`t agreed anymore , an ill system what lied , suppressed and jailed then . Does we want really forget that ? Or the other crimes that happed together with that border ?
Something like that should not be an question .
