Completed gift art for
Marymouse!
Officially this is my first FA submission that includes a background. As simple as it may look it took me over a hour to draw! The source of the background? It was from a photo I saw not too long ago, totally drew it from memory-- I guess you could say she's in a studio apartment with hard wood floors. At least that was the effect I was trying to get!
Oh yeah, the panel to her right is actually a mirror! I know, i suck at drawing mirrors. So much for perspective xD.
Ok, I hope you like it Marymouse!

Well, she was created by
miguel-tigre to be a companion his character, who is a "pantiger". He's a mix of a regular black and white panda and white tiger. Mary's a mix of a red panda and a orange tiger (although the tiger part is only seen in the stripes on her... er... well, you see the picture). That's why she's called a red pantiger. :)

Ah, cool. Thanks for clearing that up. :-D Heh, so I guess my assumption was dead on....though I probally should have said "red" panda/tiger lady..instead of just plain panda. I mean....I figured that since she's A panda, that saying "panda" would have automatically have peoples thoughts put in "red" for me since she's "red" anyways. Oh well, I am being a smart pants.
Makes me curious on what the character look like.

Actually the term, "Wah" was orignally coined by a European back in the early to mid 1800's. Thomas Hardwicke I believe his name was (...yep, wikipedia seems to agree with me xD.) Also, the locals refer to the Red Panda as "xiǎo xióng māo" or "small bear-cat."
Personally I like to call them fire foxes =). I think the locals also call them by this, but in chinese of course.
Ah, the more you know X3.

Heh, thank you Dr. Mephit.
I always find it hard to figure out what species the Red Panda fits under. Then again, no one is really sure where the raccoons fit either. Heh, first I heard Red Panda's are related to the raccoons. Then I hear "nope". Now I hear they may be related to the panda bears....or bears. And around the same time, I hear that raccoons are related to bears. Uh...okay, confusing.
Oh well, thanks for the lesson....and yeah, I do prefer calling them fire foxes...just sounds cooler. :-D
