Here’s some flavor text (though the commissioner is totally free to change or ignore any of this):

- They’re extremely flexible omnivores, though they have a weakness for small game.
- This species has feathery feelers on top of their heads, anchored directly in front of where the ear meets the skull. These feelers aid in communication, and conversation usually involves brushing them together.
- The feathers are more like ratite feathers - very simple shafts with some smaller fibers splaying off them. This makes them very soft, though they’re also slightly crimped in most individuals. The species is therefore prone to having wavy or curly feathers. The most common colors are purples, pinks, and reds, though orange or yellow-orange occasionally crops up. Iridescence of the feathers occurs in most individuals.
- The feathery “trains” and mane of females of the species often overgrow, creating luxurious cascades. In males, it stays much more manageable.
- Though both sexes have markings, females have rosettes and males have blotches (they’re technically filled-in rosettes).
- The pupils are cross shaped, making them very sensitive to movement in their peripheral vision, whether it be from just out of sight to the sides, or barely out of view up or down. This helps them to avoid predation from the much larger fauna of their homeworld.
- The sclera are always a darker version of the inner ear/”fleshy” color. The scales are usually a variation on it as well.
- Their blood is inky - almost totally black.
- It’s considered common practice to decorate the tusks with rings of metal, beads, and other hanging ornamentation.
