This one has an interior armature. She supports herself enough so I didn't have to have an external one, luckily.
Yes, I designed her outfit off of several uniform examples. Some from the Civil War and other from pilots in the first and second world wars. Also based off of flight and pressure suits as well. Especially this one Russian pressure suit... can't remember the name of it. Since this isn't supposed to take place in our universe (maybe a parrallel one) I wanted it to be similar, but not one specific outfit. I think that's key to character and costume design. Making it relateable but not the same. It's changed a little bit from this and the final costume is to be made by my friend who is a seamstress. :)
