Yeah. Any vehicle with body on frame construction (which was much more common several decades ago, given the lax safety standards and the "THIS IS THE WAY WE DO IT BECAUSE THIS IS THE WAY IT'S ALWAYS BEEN DONE" mentality of the time) is going to be substantially heavier than modern unibody cars.
