I'm curious for how long I can stay ignorant as to why this character is suddenly appearing everywhere (and I mean everywhere) as of today. Which I totally can't say I mind since they're really cute: It's just funny how a franchise can press a button and a million pics of something pop up.

There's definitely something about the Pokemon series that allows fans to fawn out and artists to flex.
And with how many of them there are, at least one's bound to strike a chord with the fanbase every gen~

Well I did see enough to know it's a new character from a Pokemon thingie (not sure if a game or cartoon). I tend to presume the series to be dead(ish) as I'm inclined to think of Pokemon as the old Gameboy era stuff, mostly since I'm not following Nintendo stuff much... wouldn't think they'd add in new characters at this stage. What can I say: New cute and naughty things will definitely be drawn

Oh yeah, it definitely doesn't have a hold on the world like it did the 90s (though, I feel like that's due to the internet giving people options now).

But between the active competitive scene (video games and TCG), the GPS mobile game, the anime, and even a live-action movie landing this year, the franchise is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon~

And so long as such is the case, Ash is doomed to be a perpetual failure. I just pray that whenever the time comes to pull the plug on the series, they actually have the care to give it a proper ending, rather than just abruptly cancel it due to unsatisfactory numbers.

I can't say much about Ash being thrown a bone in his adventures, but I could imagine there's enough sentiment in TPC that they'll give him a proper sendoff if the writing's on the wall that Pokemon (or just the anime) has to end.

I await the day when Ash realizes he's been trying to be the very best for 20 years now and there's clearly no end in sight, and turns to our art for inspiration on what he should be doing with Pokemon instead
