(Based off a headcanon that Todd is actually much more smart than he lets on)

The young mutant looked at the package he received, a mix of happiness and pride. All his efforts had finally paid off.

He got changed, carefully putting on his brand new uniform and left his room, after making sure no one was in the hallway. There was someone he wanted to show first.

Praying Wanda was not in a sour mood, he knocked lightly on her door.

''What is it?''

''It's me... Can I come in? I got to show you something. It's important!'' He added quickly.

''I give you ten seconds'' she replied.

Breathing with relief, he entered her room, quickly closing the door behind him.

''So what did you...'' Wanda stopped in mid-sentence, her eyes widening.

The one she always called Toad, stood in front of her wearing a college uniform. She was not that familiar with the school, but she knew it was a private one and expensive. Toad couldn't have afforded it unless he earned a merit scholarship.

''Wh--How did you?'' was all she could blurt out.

Her reaction was priceless, Todd couldn't help but smile brightly.

''I studied my butt off and... well, this happened.''

''Go get changed and come back here'' she merely replied.

A bit confused, he did as she said, when he returned to her room, she was waiting for him with a towel and a pair of scissors. The sight of the blades made him worry a little... She was not going to hurt him or anything, right?

''...I'm giving you a new haircut. Fresh start. It'll look better when you'll wear that uniform. Come, hop in, I don't have all day''

He sat on her bed, blushing. That was the closest physical contact that she willing gave to him and he hoped it wouldn't be the last.

''Congratulation, Todd''

Wanda was glad the young man couldn't look at her and see her proud smile.
