Estrella Wars 2019 Flood, The proof!
I heard a few say that what happened, didn't happen at Estrella this year.
So, Pics or it didn't happen, so heres the pictures to show what happened.
Top left photo was Wednesday evening just after I finished setting up.
Top right was Friday morning
#3 is Thursday Night around 9PM
#4 is Thursday inside the tent looking out around late afternoon.
#5, interior of the tent same time looking towards cot and back of tent
#6 Merchants area immediately to my right, Friday Morning around 10AM.
#7 my view looking towards Merchants center, where Kings Challenges take place.
#8, Immediately below, my view out front of the tent.
#9 My pavilion Saturday afternoon, the mud sucking quagmire.
So yeah, that's the hell I went through in a nutshell. The results of 36 hours of non-stop rain.

Ah, the Foxes do not much discuss the politics of Pensic. The stopped dealing there some years back. Hauling the sheer amount of stuff. (Main stock in trade is rocks.) Being in local SF fandom I move around the edges of a lot of related fandoms like SCA and Furry for that matter. My Wife loves Steampunk for the clothing. 4 days, seven dresses they all got used. (I insist on a room at steam cons.)
Back when I was spending the time when college was out at my mother's place in Tempe, I remember that most of the park space was set six inches or so lower than the surrounding sidewalks, specifically for this -- whenever it rained, the grassy areas became shallow lakes where the water collected, giving it time to soak into the ground to reduce the later need for watering (and to ease the load on the storm drains).
One thing that could be done was drag a hoe along the ground to create a small ditch, to drain the water into a roadside drain.
Lot of roads tend to have drains by the side to channel the water into the main sewer system or something similar.
Just don't go too far, the fair might become a WW1 reenactment event instead.
