The sounds of quiet conversation mixed together with the light jazzy track playing over the party, making for a dull noise all throughout it. The clinking of glass, maybe a laugh or two… Kelsey stared down at the glass of champagne in his hand, idly sloshing it around. The bubble had already started to fade, which made the dog muse on how that was a pretty apt metaphor for this drab party.
“Man, look at the snacks they brought! They’re like… too small to even be finger food.”
Perking the dog out of his stupor was the only thing he actually cared about at this party, his friend Pacato. The fox was sharply dressed, though the way he awkwardly tugged at his necktie showed he wasn’t used to being so stuffy. In his hand was a tiny cracker with… something on it. Leaning up and sniffing, Kelsey couldn’t even tell what it was.
“Yeah, I dunno. When I hear ‘party’ I don’t exactly think… this.” Kelsey adjusted their own jacket. They had it fitted just before coming to this party… leaving it rather uncomfortable and tight.
“Should we ditch?” Pacato started, smirking as Kelsey got a grin around his own muzzle,
“And get pizza?” Kelsey reached out and grabbed hold of his friend’s hand, tugging him towards the door, “You read my mind.”
Outside the the party, the two found themselves wandering off to one of the hotel’s many lounge areas. Plopping down, Pacato pulled out his phone, leaning up against the other canine’s shoulder.
“A single, medium sized cheese pizza, right?” He stuck his tongue out at Kelsey, who rolled their eyes, playfully nudging the fox’s plump middle, that little layer of chub just hidden under the suit.
“How about four extra larges each... just y’know, a light snack before we go home and order a REAL dinner,” the saluki said, half joking… but their stomach rumbled just as eagerly either way.
About an hour passed, before four large boxes were stacked before the two friends, the intoxicating smell of cheap, good pizza wafted through the hallway… overpowering even whatever expensive air freshener they must use here. Pacato couldn’t help but snicker at the idea of eating pizza in a suit... giving Kelsey a head start on the first slice. The dog’s ears perked up at the taste, the lovely comfort of cheap, filling, greasy fast food…
“Yeah, way better than some lousy party,” the dog quickly snapped away at his first slice, moving onto the other, watching the fox clam up and start eating to keep pace. The satisfied grin on the fox’s face made Kelsey feel warm… he always loved watching his best bud eat. The fox doesn’t seem to notice, but he eats like a ravenous, wild pig. Not that Kelsey could really say anything… it’s only been a few minutes, and they’ve already eaten their way through half of the first pizza.
“Yeah, what kinda party doesn’t have pizza?” Pacato licked his lips, curling up two slices together to eat them in a few bites. He tossed the top box off of his own pile with a wide grin, opening the next for more.
“Woah! Already on your second pizza, Pacato? I'm starting to think you enjoy eating a little too much.” the dog teased, his eyes drifting down to the fox’s middle… a whole pizza made a world of difference, bloating the fox’s plump stomach up enough to make it noticeable under the suit jacket.
“You’re one to talk, Kelsey. I'm pretty sure I saw you devour one of those plates of dinky snacks at the party, AND you’re already well into your second pizza!” The fox grinned deviously, pointing with a half eaten slice of pizza at the dog’s box. The saluki blushed, he was way too into watching his friend eat to notice how heavily he was plowing through his own pizza. He turned his box around, making a show at huffing and pretending to be offended, followed by the two snickering and going back to eating.
By the time the second boxes were finished, the damage was already starting to show. The fox complained about how stuffy his jacket was, tossing it aside. Giving Kelsey a lovely shot of the fox’s small dome of a middle, held tight by an undershirt with taut buttons.
Not to be undone, Kelsey stood up and yawned. Pushing out his stuffed middle against the two buttons on his jacket… it took a bite of effort, but he was able to pop them free. Letting his potbelly hang free as he tossed his jacket aside. Sitting back down, he leaned forward to grab another two slices, feeling his shirt strain… and feeling the staring gaze of his friend on him.
“What, impressed? Better keep up, foxy. Or I'm gonna eat your pizza, too,” he winked, taking a bite to egg the fox on.
For the third boxes of pizza, the two stared at each other. Sharing smiles and giggles and teasing words with each other. Watching their middles swell, and their outfits strain further. Keen to every thread popping and ribbing, every button coming closer and closer to giving way.
The two were left panting, Kelsey laid back, hand rubbing soothing circles around his middle. He couldn’t believe the buttons were still holding strong!
“M-man they… make these shirts strong, huh Pacato?” he gave his friend a weak smile, watching the fox grab the other pizza… and slide it closer to him.
“Well lemme help you with that!” with that, the fox pounced as best as an overfed, rotund vulpine could. Their heavily bloated middles bumped together, causing one to burp quietly. Pacato grabbed a slice and shoved it right into Kelsey’s mouth, causing the dog to let out a surprised, gleeful gasp.
Their middles bumped and grinded together as they fed each other, shirts tearing away at their taut sides, buttons popping as they leaned over to grab more pizza to stuff into the other’s mouth. More and more, their middles swelled. Until, finally, the two were left laying on top of eachother. Pacato rested his head on Kelsey’s middle, running his hands around the dog’s gut in soothing circles.
“M-man, wow… those uh, those suits didn’t last did they?” the fox gave his friend a goofy grin, his tail swishing above him.
“Yeah, it was pretty much a perfect party- wait. Aw, aw man.”
The fox’s ears perked up, concern crossing his face.
“I just realized they forgot our drink. Again.”
