Well, yes. In contrast to the usual "master chef" mini-game, in "Tales of Val Salia" you have to take time out of your questing to collect more seafood and instead of recipies, you get different sorts of shellfish.
And of course, the relationship-management minigame's objective is to _avoid_ having the main character end up paired with the yinglet.
