To start, I'm not a big greyhound fan personally. It's kinda like 'Hi...~pet pet pet~' with them, not 'OMG GREYHOUND!'. The breed is generally far too mellow for my liking, but that's what makes them great for other people.

I did this because it's what came out. I don't always force a piece, in fact, I usually try not to with pieces that aren't commissions, because when I don't, fun stuff can happen. And truly, this piece was fun as far as painting it went.

The effect came out more as if it was oils, not acrylics, which I'm really surprised with. But then again, I guess I'm getting used to manipulating the hell out of acrylics. I really would like to try the Open line of acrylics at some point, because they stay wet longer, but it's not at the top of my list.

To sum this up, I'm happy with it. It's a neat piece, even though I didn't do what I originally planned, it makes me happy. And OMG, is it PURPLE!
