Oddly, the most entertaining and energizing thing about this page is the little mini-project within it, the anthropomorphic portrait. Fred does not share the same appreciation of the Beau Arts, as you may surmise.
I flipped back and forth between having Fred actually fire his weapon or merely point it towards the unfortunate doodz on the page. I went with the less flashy option since the suspense seems to work here.

Ooh! Cool cape buffalo there. The whole page does set up the dramatic final panel that makes you want to see more stuff. My favorite panel is the last, it just has a really nice impact. Will Fred shoot them? My bet would be on "yes" as he seems to be a killer by trade. This is after all a much more serious comic.
It's hard to say really, but I'll try. First, I would say that it conveys more emotion than most do. Second, it has a sort of ambiance to it that I can't quite place my finger on, but that I really like. Third, you're using subject matter that I find very intriguing. Fourth, the art quality is very high. Hmmm... I don't think that it really covers it all, but it's all I can do for now. I'll just leave it at saying that I really love the conflict of the piece, the quality, and what they're all about. I look forward to each new one.
I believe this page works just dandy with Fred not shooting. Should the next page open with the 'security detail' on the floor, well, readers will know what happened and it actually might make for a more effective way of doing it than having Fred shoot them. It simply takes for granted that he has them dead to rights (as it were).
Also, it occurs to me that Fred's oral fixation is perfectly safe for sneaking around on a battlefield. Tobacco smoke carries, but unless he kisses someone lollipop flavor doesn't go far towards warning an enemy of your approach...

Hi Jodimest. Uh, you don't know me, but I do know your ex partner in crime a little bit.
Recently I have taken a liking to "Talking" to the Jewel vixens on that forum there, but i've hit little snag with Aelius:
He won't answer for Ira and Ria, because they were YOUR characters. I know this is a little awkward, asking a favor from someone I'm meeting for the first time,( I feel like Larry David from Curb your Enthusiasm!) but, if you wanted to go back to the forum to answer for them, I would REALLY appreciate it.
But if you don't want to, I understand.
