One of my favorite heroes is Superman and one my favorite images of Superman is the iconic moment where he pulls back his shirt to reveal that distinctively graphic "S" shield. I've been working on this image for quite a while now and finally got the lineart cleaned up enough that I can use it for what I ultimately want to do with this picture, rendering it in animation cel style.
This image is dedicated with the utmost respect to the talented people who have contributed to the Superman legend over the past nearly 70 years, especially Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, George Reeves, Mike Carlin, Julius Schwartz, Curt Swan, John Byrne, Dick Giordano, and most of all, Christopher Reeve.
