Thank you! As for a front view of beaks, I think it just isn't possible to make it look good- Sure you can make them okay but it just isn't all that great facing forward. I've even spent some notable time looking(from a distance) at the beaks of the birds and fowl in my area, and when the face front it just doesn't look very good compared with the side and off center views.
I think it can still be saved, just draw the line of the mouth just in between (if not, a little bit lower)
Just draw it first with pencil in a thin line, so you can erase it easily if you don't like it.
When you like the look just use your normal drawing tools to retrace it.
