There's a lot I have to learn about properly rigging that isn't related to actual bones or weight painting. Guess it's time to crack open a cold book with the boys and study up on bone structure.
At least this one works. The first thing I ever threw together in Blender at an even lower poly count wouldn't let me assign automatic weights. Oh the horror.
