Okay, my teacher is an arse, making us do 3 trading cards and we have to take at least 5 hours to make each one. I got bored, but at the same time, I got a lot of the detail into this. I got all perfectionisty and I would've been able to do more if I hadn't kept erasing everything and just done the drawing. But I still say it turned out amazing. I'm still looking for more Dark Tower fans like myself, it's sad really.
I had to use 3 techniques that we used in class in this drawing. First, I used normal drawing, second, blind contouring, which is looking at whatever you're drawing, but not looking at the paper, did that with the arm touching the bottom of the card. Third, and lastly, I used negative drawing, using charcoal to make a random sloppy mess of black, I then erased away to form the sphere.
I find this is ranked as second place in my 3 trading cards.
Please, could I have some comments on this stuff?
