Well, I've been giving a lot of attention to the villain of my story for such a long time, I think it's time to start drawing the hero.

Actually, the only reason I'm giving him some sketch time is because I am planning a series of desktop backgrounds featuring some of the characters from The Shadow of the Dog Lord, and want Max the dog as a counterpoint to Lord Fenrir of Dar-Koldor.

Max has an odd costume in this picture, he has his typical ranger clothes, but I gave him sort of a Victorian scarf-thing for some reason...maybe because he's slightly more dandified than your average ranger...I dunno :P

And yes, I am aware that I gave him a beard...that must be the coffee drawing and not me :P
