Around my neck I have a pendant that was custom made for me. It has a little copper star on it set against a silver disk. Stars are a personal symbol of mine. They represent granted wishes, guidance, rebirth, goals, and rewards among other things. That's why I usually have something on me with a star on it. The disk has the words "Live by doing" stamped on it.

Live by Doing is the philosophy of my life. There are too many people in the world eager to lecture you about what you are doing wrong, what you need to do, what you should do, and what they are going to do. Until it is done, it is nothing but talk. A building is but a blueprint until the steel and concrete go into a deeply dug foundation. A story is just a flutter of the mind until it is written down. A picture is just an idea until you finish putting pen to paper (or tablet, as the case may be). A philosophy and a plan are just words until you take action.

In the end, I would like people to remember me as someone who did things, rather than someone who said things.
