Ekay continues to reassure Pekk, telling him how he firmly believes that continuing forward will ultimately bring them back to the ordinary life they had before they were thrust into this most strange and dangerous situation. Ekay then makes a metaphor, stating that their safe return is as certain as the feelings of warmth, comfort, and even safety one feels when holding hands with someone you love and trust.
Pekk understands his brother's philosophy and holds hands with him in moment of deep family bonding. In their heart-warming verification, Ekay vows in his heart that he will protect his precious little brother, no matter what happens, nor where.
Meanwhile, Little Grass-tail and Little Oracle notice the steady approach of something ominous. They both share the same nervous feeling as it grows closer to the group...
