Digestion is already setting in as you search around the larger tombstones for useful herbs. You know this forest has several sorts, and you are of the mind that purifying herbs will be the most valuable in the future. It’s not difficult to find a small patch of them; a cluster of the things sprouts up at the foot of one of the oldest megaliths deep in the wood. You pluck them, bundle them, and toss them into space storage for later use. [ +1 PURIFYING HERBS ]
Your stomach growls loudly, its shape steadily rounding out as the soft fungal flesh within churns into sludge. It’s causing some indigestion and you feel a little woozy. A little light-headed. What in the third hell is it you’re forgetting about shrumbloids? It seems kind of important to remember, suddenly.... Oh. Wait. That’s right.
They’re hallucinogenic.
No time to stop and rest it off. That spore cloud the caretaker dropped is bound to be spreading out, and more of the shroom-kin will be on their way. Gotta keep moving toward the wood’s heart. Besides, it’s almost nightfall.
