Completed half of a trade with Aiyume.
You can hardly see the shading. :(
Also, the color of the green/yellow markings is... pretty off. It was a weird color to try to match with my limited colors, but it was as close as I could get. I hope that's alright. Dx
Other than the weird green/yellow color, I'm very happy with this. Weird background, yes, but I thought it needed more color and simple clouds are boring. Boring says I!
Hope you like, Syr!

Thank you, I'm glad you like! I'm quite happy with the pose and paws and wings and mostly everything! ^^ The character is not mine, she is Aiyume of DA's creation. :)
I know! Browns are so pretty~ I love neutral colors in general. I only wish I could portray them a little better. x3

I am a big fan of neutral colors, and I think you portrayed them well. Even if the shading didn't turn out as well as you'd like, sometimes flat colors can look just as nice. I often don't shade my marker work, I'm really too inexperienced at it, but I've noticed some highlights with white gel pen can really make a flat colored piece pop! :3
Too bad I am not active on DA at all, I like this character a lot and would enjoy watching the person that created it. Hehe.

I was going to leave it at flat color (since I am very inexperienced with markers as well), but I noticed that I had a color capable of shading dark brown without going to BLACK, so I went with it, haha. I was going to do gel pen highlights (I've done them before and ike them a lot!) but I couldn't think of a way to do them that "looked right". Bah! xD
Highlighting a scaley creature could pose a bit of a dilemma, I see your point! I am not sure how I would go about highlighting this piece either, for fear of making it look too "busy" with all the white marks.
Regardless, you did an awesome job, and I can't wait to see more of your art! Maybe we can do an art trade sometime. :3
