I was revisiting another design; a pony version of a non-pony character of mine who is a wild/self-taught mage especially skilled in ice magic. Previously she'd just been the standard MLP show-type unicorn, but I wanted to use the more traditional leonine tail and cloven hooves, and it'd had been a while since I'd drawn her last!
