So we see that Kitter really is a challenger to Perre for Elsee's affections! (and also a hint that Perre's assertion that Kitter's family wouldn't want a second yinglet might not be quite accurate)

And some yinglets just only think of food. Maybe that's why they call him Fishy.

In my version of the world, the "domesticated" yinglets have settled down to a cycle of two "night sleeps" at approximately 9 pm and 3 am, and two "day sleeps" at roughly 9 am and 3 pm. It's still a bit awkward integrating with human society and our one long night-sleep, but it's workable.
