the simple version is get a black art liner or even a texta to start with and go over the lines carefully first. some use a thick one on the outside line and a thin one on the inside. Allow it to dry completely then erase the pencil. Practice on one you don't care about so much to start with. Others have a tablet and relevent computer programs to do the same thing. My daughter started with just an ordinary fine texta until I bought her some artliners. You can either colour in the shaded areas or use a variety of textures like cross hatching. If you have your scanner working and printer do copies of the same picture and practice over the photo copies to see what techniques you like the most. *hugs*
