A bold and charismatic dynamo--Shane Knight is a pragmatic thrill seeker with a deep independent streak.

Yet for all intents and purposes, Shane should simply not exist.

Six years prior to the events of our story, Shane and his friends experienced a phenomenal paranormal event over the summer at Lake Okoboji in northern Iowa. The event in question caused Shane's essence to be effectively erased from the memory of everyone who ever knew him. In the process, the boy found his way to the alien planet of Ereas--a sister Earth--in the Carina Nebula. The event which nearly erased him from existence spirited the young skunk to this safe harbor 7,137 lightyears away from Earth. It was there where Shane found aid in two young mages: Daeja and Piers.

Shortly after landing, Shane met Daeja, an Erean native who, nevertheless, understood the English language. Fascinated that this strange boy and sympathetic to his plight, the lynx knew that it was her prerogative to help him escape from a hidden temple in the surrounding forest. Unfortunately, the two were separated, but the scared boy managed to find help in Piers, an Erean cougar, and his guardian, a mysterious figure named Cassandra Cassini. Miss Cassini knew of Earth, its inhabitants and its many "siblings" sewn across the Milky Way. Seeing the boy as a cosmic castaway, Miss Cassini took Shane under her wing and gave him a very special gift.

This gift was a silver manacle created by an ancient alien civilization. Since she's psychically attuned to its extraterrestrial properties, Cassini was able to observe the skunk as he wore it. Without it, Shane Knight exists in a state of superposition wherein he's untethered from the physical universe. Without wearing it, Shane does not definitively exist.

This same manacle also what allows Shane to house a demon named Orrin in his body. Miss Cassini's observation and Orrin's influence bolsters Shane's physical form to the point where he can regularly interact with others without fear of them being later unable to commit him to memory.

Fascinated with his apparent innate ability to manipulate quantum fields, Miss Cassini knew the young skunk was extraordinary. She later helped Shane reach Earth to reestablish contact with his family back in Iowa. Unfortunately, upon arrival, Shane soon discovered that not only was he forgotten by friends and family alike, but it was as if he had never existed in the first place. There was no record of Shane Knight anywhere, and his family home had no place for him.

Yet there was still a hole the universe. It was a hole left behind that only Shane could fill. Shane was not only yearning to return home to his family and the old life he once had, but the young man also wished to be reunited with the one person who remembered him in some capacity. This one person was a silver fox named Isaak Shane would often see in his dreams. Perhaps it was their love for one another which kept Shane alive, in some respects, for all these years.

Through her connections with top brass in the United States government, Miss Cassini was able to help give Shane a new purpose as a special agent for Blutmond, a confederation of monster hunters operating within the Department of Homeland Security. Now they both seek to understand what happened at Lake Okoboji six years ago, how Shane was nearly erased from the entire universe, and what can be done to reverse it.

Little do either know that an entity, the very same entity which caused their catastrophe, has its sights set on Shane and his unique state of being.

I want to take this time to praise  fcsimba for all the hard work and effort they poured into this character sheet. Seeing Shane come to life in this manner was absolutely incredible. They do such fabulous work bringing out the best in each individual character of mine, and I sincerely appreciate everything that they do. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them so frequently, and I only hope I can keep that up for the foreseeable future!
