Yet another drawing for my first session of The Shadow of the Dog Lord Roleplaying Adventure Game, this time we have an illustration of Lord Lucien of Dar-Koldor.
Lucien is a wizard, the son of Vulpine (who was the daughter of Ragnar and Kelda, the two chieftains who formed the Dar-Koldor Rebellion when Fenrir first rose to power) and the brother of Lukas (who fathered Bowser, the current chieftain of the Rebellion). However, while his brother Lukas continued fighting against the darkness of the Wolf King, Lucien embraced the darkness and became the lieutenant of Dar-Koldor under the Wolf King and extended his life through sorcery.
Lucien is an interesting villain for the game because he is fighting not only our heroes and the Dar-Koldor Rebellion, but also against Fenrir, since Fenrir usurped the Dar-Koldor throne from Lucien when the Wolf King was slain.
Lucien carries one of the Swords of the Storm, the blades given to Ragnar and Kelda during the First War of the Dog Lord. The other blade is held by his nephew, Bowser, who commands the Rebellion today. I enjoyed drawing and colouring the sword. Red and gold make a nice regal colour scheme, and I deemed it fit for the "noble" Dar-Koldor before Fenrir took over (since these swords were forged for the good guys, I had to make it look "good").
His robes were rather troublesome, since I didn't know what to colour them. Black and red were the colours for Fenrir after all, and since Lucien was an enemy of Fenrir, they couldn't have the same colour scheme. So, after pondering, I came to an off-white/cream color scheme. White after all is the Chinese colour for evil and death, it was appropriate...plus since Lucien is a spin off of Saruman from Lord of the Rings, white is a good colour for him.
Enjoy his wickedness :D

I favour shorter swords like this one http://www.swords-and-more.com/shop.....e.php/pID/3128
the handle is 29 cm long and the blade 68 cm ^^

Well, to be honest, I didn't expect my sword to be so long when I ordered it...but when it came the blade was over 48 inches long, and the actual sword was exactly five feet in length, and I'm only 5'6, so it's a tricky thing to use
But since the average height for a wolf is over six feet tall, I thought I could give them ludicrously long weapons and it'll still be alright (since they're strong and hardy...they can use them )
