Finally! I kid you not. I have been working on and off designing this character since I was in grade 10, in high school. Things kept getting in the way. His design started as simple then changed to super complex and realistic. But I didn’t like it but didn’t know where to go from there. Then I saw Katie’s https://katiehofgard.deviantart.com.....ping-606623617 beautiful drawing and realised simple can be done if done right. So I went back to a simple design.

I have been trying to figure out if I should have talking gryphons whether it be proper talking or talking though mind like (Ergon and dragons). I chose that Gryphons do not “talk” in this world, but they can try and communicate by body language, expressions and vocal calls (like interacting with a very smart pet).

Wingsoar and Phoenix love each other and have a deep bond where they will protect each other to the death. Even one time when Phoenix tells Wingsoar to fly away so he will be safe, he refuses to leave her side (One of his wings was injured at the time so he can’t fly away any additional weight).

I have a cute story of how these two first meet but I won’t reveal it in this bio, I feel it needs an illustration and an actual story to justify it.
Due to the fact he doesn't come into the story until after the main story certain parts of his bio are removed

currently lives: The wild / some caves in the cliffs near the East castle. But you will sometimes find him sleeping in Phoenix’s room. Or sun bathing on the castle roof somewhere.

PERSONALITY
Being a gryphon certain parts of his personality are a bit cat-like.
Wingsoar is extremely loyal to Phoenix, and can be very protective of her or anyone he or she cares about. He is very curious, and likes to investigate new things, which is one of the reasons why he befriend a human. He is also adventurous, daring, playful, independent and he can sometimes be very proud. Has also known to be silly or over dramatic at times.

Likes: Gold shinny things, flying, pets and cuddles from Phoenix (especially scratches under the chin)
Dislikes: Being chained or caged, being called a chicken or any form of un-impressive bird (e.g pigeion ), anyone he senses Phoenix doesn’t like. People pulling on his feathers.

Hobbies: Hunting and exploring
Taste in music: Falls asleep to Phoenix soft singing lullabies when she needs to calm him down
