Playing with his ink motif, I'm imagining him as like a figure of dangerous temptation, especially to the creative or overworked mind. He just wants you to take a moment, lie back, and let someone else do the thinking for you. Even if it means draining you dry and leaving you a mindless husk of a dumbly grinning pleasure-drone, all your ideas and identity sucked right from your bliss-broken mind. Or maybe that's just a temporary state, to help give you the mental 'reset' you need? Depends how nice he's being!
