This is Sol. He's a member of the Rekel. The Rekel are a fairly old reptilian race that's lived on their home world for quite some time. However through much of that time the Rekel have be a dispersed people. Fractured into Warring nations. Eventually, not long after the discovery of the Quell, tensions between to of the most prominent nations reached a fever pitch and a nuclear exchange occurred. The Rekel as a species were decimated. Their numbers went from 8 billion to less then 2 billion during this exchange which also caused most of Rekel civilization to crumble. This event was known by the Rekel as the "Great Fall" Although they did manage to retain the use of some advanced technologies in areas they still have yet to recover and have an at best mix of colonial and roman civilization with some modern tech thrown in. Rekel looking for a source of blame for the Great Fall looked too the Quell. With them being nocturnal and mammalian and in Rekel eyes primitive technologically they made perfect scape goats. The Quell were blamed for the fall with Rekel saying that Quell had been behind the scenes manipulating leaders and events of Rekel history. But in recent years after the Plague Rekel are finally seeing how foolish those notions are and coming to accept the Quell. On average Rekel are taller then Quell and stronger physically. On an interesting side note the Rekel do not have much in the way of differences between the sexes. On average they're about the same height and of similar build though females do tend to be leaner. But the only two easy ways to tell one from the other is to listen to them speak. Rekel females like most have softer voices. Rekel females also put off pheromones. No low for a human to detect but Quell and Rekel have no problem with it. Because of this clothing is gender neutral among the Rekel and same gender matting is accepted as a means to produce a family to care for offspring without a home.

Sol here is one of those Rekel who the Quell would consider a friend. Sol belongs to a fairly prominent family and his father has advocated for Quell rights putting forth purposals that more rights for the Quell mean they'll be more independent and able to produce more things that Rekel could purchase and benefit from. Sol himself has agreed with his father and helped when he could. When he got sick he took a liking to the Nos who cared for him. Over the weeks Sol and Nos became good friends and eventually a cure was found. When Sol finally came home he invited Nos with him. The two are very close and Sol has even contemplated a future for them together as mates.
