I just sold my 2000 V.W. Beetle last week. My only complaint about how it drove was it didn't seem well adapted to automatic shifting. As soon as you let off the gas, it's like hitting the brakes. That's where you would lose a lot of gas mileage, so I would put it in neutral to coast. The car was reliable but a bit too small for what I need. Bought a nice 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo.
