Thats because often in media the "use a positive, warm moment so the viever can bond with the character then make something bad happen for maximum emotional impact without much effort" trick is absolutely overused, conditioning your brain to expect something negative to happen after nice moments. This can be quite harmful and poisoin someones positive experiences/life if the feeling/expectation carries over to RL.

Your comics are always a warm surprise to read, but this one seem to be very special to me. I know it's couple of years old, but I just can't stop to have a tender feeling spreading in my chest while reading these pages.
