Thomas plowed through the underbrush. “Thistle! Thistle!” he shouted. Scratches covered his body. Burrs, twigs and leaves clung to his mane and tail, testament to his untiring search for his daughter. Finally, after two days of frantic searching his calls were met with a sound he feared he would never hear again.

“Daddy?”

Thomas charged a large hedge, sharp branches clawed at him, almost as if trying to prevent him from reaching the white spot he saw before him.

“Thistle!” Thomas tore through the hedge into a small clearing.

“Daddy!” The filly practically tackled the larger colt and embraced him with her forelegs. Thomas sat down hard and returned the hug.

They embraced for a moment when Thomas noticed something strange. “Thistle, what happened to your mane and tail, why do you feel so different?”

“Oh, daddy, please,” she said through tear stained eyes, “Just hug me like you mean it!”

Thomas needed no further prompting and enveloped the filly in his strongest bear hug.

“It is ok, now, Thistle. Daddy is here.”



I didn't reallt want to post the story bit with this, because the picture pretty much speaks for itself. But where else would I put it? Anyways, I think we're done torturing the poor little filly! =^^=
