Moldmaking! I originally made the first mold for the dancing Booby as a one part mold. However, that thing was a royal pain to demold and there were spots that held bubbles really easily making it hard to get a clean cast. I adjusted some areas on the original cast (made thicker legs, slightly less deep lines under the wings to avoid bubbles sticking there) and made a two part mold for both boobies. Also made a faceted egg mold for any leftover resin since I often have a little leftover.

Seems I accidentally posted the picture of the final molds instead of the process molds. I've added a pic of the in progress molds here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30277817/ and updated this description. Seems I wasn't so awake when I posted these. Derp.
Yes, I am pressure casting! I'm using a pressure pot to cast the resin to squeeze the bubbles down and get good casts. The sprues/vents are to give any bubbles an escape route and route for the resin to flow into the whole mold. I have a well at the end of each of them for some overflow and for some excess resin because once under pressure, any bubbles will compress to nothing and that will cause the resin to flow into that space, so if I don't have a little excess to fill into there, then I'll end with too short of feet or a missing portion of the tail or beak.

Awesome! I appreciate the details and you posting these photos. I'm about 6 months behind you on learning this casting thing, so the information is particularly helpful. I assume you're vacuum degassing the silicone as well? And where did you get such monstrous ball bearings? (not intended as a euphemism)
My pleasure! I'm happy to share art info. I actually learned casting from a (paid) course by EmilySculpts! http://emilysculpts.thinkific.com/ She also has a patreon that's a wonderful resource as well.
I'm not vacuum degasing the silicone unfortunately, that'd be easier. I just can't quite strech my budget (or space) for a vacuum setup right now. To compensate I cast my molds under pressure so that it squeezes the bubbles down to nothingness and so it doesn't cause issues later with bubbles and pits in my resin casts when I put it under pressure. The downside is the molds have a cure time of 24 hours (demold in 16 at least) so they have to sit in the pot under pressure for 16 hours- basically a weekend for a two part mold. Augh. If it were vacuum degassed I could leave it out of the pot for that time and use my pot for other things on the weekends I make molds.
The ball bearings I got from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E9TLOKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Suuuper useful but needs to be washed first since they have oil on them to prevent rust and the like. (And that totally should be a euphamism given that my entire Not-So Vulgarities project, like these boobies, was a giant euphemism joke. Basically so I could be at a convention and telling people they needed to come check out my boobies and totally not being vulgar haha. ^_^ I'm making Cocks next. Cock of the Rock that is!)
