On January 26, 2019, the B-29 Superfortress known as Doc moved into a new hangar and education center in Wichita, Kansas. I was thrilled to be on hand and got some nice photos. From an observation area above the hangar floor, you get this tremendous view of the historic warbird.
Doc is one of only two B-29 bombers in the world that is flightworthy. On this particular day, some engine maintenance had been taking place. You can see that the propellers and parts of the engine cowlings were removed. Two of the propellers can be seen in the far corner
