The moment I read "furry xeno" in her request, this is what came to mind.
...And this is obviously not what she intended. >_>
I tend to do things my way... which is usually not understood by pretty much everyone. Sully, I'm sorry but I just wasn't able to turn a xenomorph into a furball. I do hope you still like this one though. ^__^;;
Also, the coloring is a bit messy... but I sorta like it this way. :þ

Exactly I was trying to joke around with saying "Mmm such a sexy xeno... murr" Stuff like that when the ones were fighting XD BUT YES I love the originals they were darker in AVP I think you just to see better anatomy of them with how bright the first AVP was. :3 I love xenomorph art there sexy little aliens.
Hmm... yeah, that's probably true. Though as long as the hugger is able to coil it's tail around the host neck and manages to constrict the bloodflow to the brain, I think it should be alright. Once the host is KO, it shouldn't be too hard to implant the egg without much of a problem.

true, it could reposition itself once the host was unconcious. but could the tail reach while the hugger held on effectively? i mean they seem rather primitive in their behavior compared to an adult xenomorph. pretty single-minded, and tackling a muzzle might require some problem solving...

Probably so... but it's nice to see someone actually think things through for a change. xD

well not really, as seen in Alien 3 a facehugger can easily fit onto a muzzle, as on a dog or an ox. in fact they are made to do that more easily if I'm remembering right, in some of the stories it's speculated this is because the first hosts for the Xenomorphs were in fact quadrupeds. and if they couldn't facehug things with muzzles you would not see so many Runners in major Hives X3
The first host of aliens were indeed bovine like creatures, but they were never shown or explored in any of the movies. It's, again, a whole other theory including the original xenomorph civilisations.
You're very right about the ox and dog though, but looking at all the different kinds of furries we have on FA... I dunno.
There's dragons, wolves, horses and so much more (and weirder) around... they all have very different proprotions and sizes. Facehuggers aren't a one-size-fits-all creature. x3

well, but oxes and dogs don't have the thumbs a furry would have to try to pull the facehugger off. it's a stretch for their legs and tail, their grip would be weaker. in theory someone could pull them off.
i think probably one pair of thicker legs (to hold the muzzle in position firmly), plus a longer tail, plus possibly one set of extra-long legs (to wrap around the back of the skull) would be in order.
i'd also imagine the tail would have an interesting shape to it near the base, to prevent the victim from thrashing their head around so much (with that extra un-coiled length under the chin, someone could really struggle). sort of like a sharks' fin shape maybe, but pointed inwards towards the throat to prevent much movement of the head.

I could understand that. but you are also assuming that a facehugger only holds on with the fingers. in 3 (theatrical version) the dog has cuts on it's face like the hugger had been using something else, say something like the tinny hairs/growths that a lizard has to let it crawl on walls. You know, something to give it that extra grip it needs to hold on even with shorter legs.

Really? It doesn't make that much of a difference though.

Yeah..I guess it isn't that fun after all is it? Though, If the face hugger was furry to...it might be a bit more relaxing, albeit still unquestionably painful. Can't I just pry the face huggers off and throw them on someone else and run? I think that would be my strategy. Always carry a small child next to me for a meat shield. ^ ^
Prying off a hugger is nigh impossible, unless you're really REALLY strong.
Best would be to pay attention to your surroundings and make sure you can point the child-shield at the first suspicious sound you hear.

Do they prey on just humans I wonder? Because if that is that case...we are home free....I don't think a face hugger the way it is shaped can latch properly around our muzzles, so I think I could pry it off in that case don't you? But whether I could or could not...I would carry a little boy around by his underwear right in front of my face like a shield. And what if I just securely bonded my muzzle to prevent entry? Put a metal mask on or somesuch?
As seen in the Director's Cut(I think) from Alien 3, the hugger was able to impregnate an ox. My guess it that it could theoretically tackle a horse as well, so to speak.

...And even though a hugger can melt it's way through a spacesuit (Alien I)... I think it would have quite an issue dealing with a metal mask. XD

I don't think they like to eat lead. Especially the high velocity kind.

i remember in aliens resurrection and from one alien book series they could open the host and re use hose again if they time the impregnation and before the time it burst from what i remember the post build a type immunity and if done enough time the host gain traits from the xenomorph a little bit like hearing queen command for one other then that i know that both the host and chest butter can live
hehehe tho i would be surprised if if a face huger mutate to be a crouch hugger and change some to impregnate female and male to a degree and buster become human /hybrid tho they don't kill host but put some sort of natural drug in the host system make them go back to the egg get impregnated again this way you have a host doesn't die and is addicted to serving the hive for the natural high .
hehe some time it interesting what you can do with little imagination and lot of time
