Another one of my favorite commissions from Asarka! I really busted out the heavy details on what I wanted with this one. It's also the first image to ever feature Helena with her pipe, often referred to as a kiseru, as well as her wedding ring. The pipe she smokes actually is never used with tobacco or any other harmful substances. Instead it's an alchemical blend of plant leaves and powdered fruit that mixed together with a arcane substance creates a special type of blended, enchanted herb that when smoked by magic users of this universe is used to help calm the arcane energy flow in their bodies and suppress it, otherwise it can become overbearing if left un-checked. And as an added bonus, the smoke smells nice and leaves no bad aftertaste in the mouth or in the air around the user. Every mage, sorcerer, sorceress, magic user in the world has their own custom made blend. For Helena, her hand made blend makes a smell and taste of cherries. In short, it's basically the fantasy equivalent to vaping.

Again, Asarka did an amazing job with the detail and nailing down what I wanted with the commission.
