While sleeping within the memory pod to restore his memories back to normal, Sora was, unbeknownst to Namine, visited by the troublesome Shy Jester Abra Chord, who decided to weave a little ‘gift’ for the young Keyblade wielder.

Instead of the Anti-Form that Sora would have normally had to deal with, he instead would discover ‘Heartless Form’, which turned him into a Monster Girl version of the various Heartless he’s encountered. What’s more is that Heartless Form would have a higher probability of activating.

On the positive side, ‘Heartless Form’ Bestowed upon Sora the powers and capabilities of the Heartless he became. This included the ability to merge into shadows and short-range teleporting via shadows. As such, it at least provided him a greater range of usability than he would have if he had Anti Form.

Unlike the normal emblem possessed by the Heartless created by Xehanort, Sora instead has an emblem of her own based off of the crown necklace
