This is how I was at Megaplex 2017. Not only was it my first furry con, it was also the first time I had been babied IRL. When I got to the hotel lobby, I was shaking and my voice was quivering. I didn't even recognize acan at first. And I had to be at one of my friends' sides to go anywhere.
I've come out of my shell a bit since then.

Honestly I have no real advice for anyone suffering from this except to take the plunge as soon as you can, because most of the time once you've done it once, it gets way easier the second and third times <3

This page embodies how I have felt in multiple situations that were new to me. I reacted in a very similar way as well, sometimes just crying because I get overwhelmed.

I can completely relate to this because this was me at Megaplex 2016 and 2017. I spent a good chunk of the convention hiding under a table. I was actually WAY too nervous to even attend the babyfur meet and greet either year, simply because I was scared. I recommend hugs followed by hugs and more hugs because enough hugs can cure any kind of sadness
