It JUST occurred to me that I never properly showed you guys the main 5's official renders together. I posted Com and Updogs and have since frequently shown them to other artists as refs, but never officially posted the others. Comabat, Updog, Master Maul, Clinoa, and Tikano!

Now this is quite the cast of characters! I especially like the outfits too! I like the whole dynamic of "casual dressed" Superheros and your more traditional looking designs together in one setting. It makes it feel more realistic in a way! For everybody who'd put the money into a cool full suit, there's equally be that many who just go out in a hoodie.
Thanks! I tend to mix it up with how I draw hero suits, if I draw them at all. I tend to lean towards "very simplistic" or "outfits modified to look 'super'". Ka-Bat tends to lean more towards the simplistic side, but my first webcomic Cheetah Kid leaned more to the modified casual style.
I've also found that with Anthros in particular, you don't need much in terms of their outfit to make them stand out, as with most Human vs Anthro designs. Their species, fur, ect accomidate for most of their memorable features, so their outfits don't have to be very complex at all. With more humanoid characters, you REALLY have to make them stand out since humans don't have a lot of visual range and we're used to seeing them all the time. It's typically all in the outfit or hair for them.

Indeed not! Anthros usually carry quite a lot of personality and presence with them with things as simple as their species! So I agree with you wholly there about visual range of human figures! lol though I kind of have a thing for the hero designs that don't stand out, sometimes. Like, the more noire hero who can quickly just disappear. That said, that's more of a result of the saturation of the flashy hero market. I love characters that stand out with the traditional Superhero look, it's more a matter of finding balance and what strikes me at the time. I know I go back and forth, myself. I made one rather recently with the whole noire theme in mind called Silver Moth. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28949131/ and I'm rather pleased with how he turned out.
But again, I think you have a nice blend and balance here. lol Ka-Bat has an incredible charming presence about him, with the more simple styling, and at the same time the visually distinct notes of the classic Super Suit. I think you've done great work across the board here!
