Taken this summer at the Nimitz Museum. My dad with a WW2 era two and a half ton truck, typical of the one he used in Europe.

Dad named his truck "Hope" cause he hoped it kept running. For some odd reason his unit was given shot up trucks from North Africa and told to rebuild one good truck from the parts. He was also issued two thermite bombs. If things got dicey he was to place one on the gun breach block and one on the engine block and then fight their way out with the infantry.
