Last-but-one tribe from Phyrria, yay. Good way to start another year with more-or-less-art I guess.
White dragon in a blizzard... Yup, that's a great idea - make a detailed lineart and then cover half of it with "snow".
Anyway, here's a bit of story behind this guy (some spoilers below):
After learning that his father had some minor animus powers he was suspecting he could have some himself, so he did worst thing he could - started seeking info about most known animus dragons. After learning of Dalkstalker, Albatross and Arctic, their deeds and fates he became scared of what may become of him. In time his fear turned into obsession that led him to send himself into semi-exile, avoiding other dragons as much as he could.
For the design itself - I think he doesn't look as bad as I was afraid he will due to his blue blood, that makes regions which should be pinkish for a white-skinned creature... even more blue. -.-
I made Icewing head quite similar to Rainwing, though a bit bulkier and much wider in jaw corners (the "diamond shape"), so Glory had at least some chances of actually sham being an Icewing. Yeah, she also posed for a Mudwing that have completely different head shape and she wasn't denounced, but I think it's because Mudwings don't give... much attention to anyone from outside their closest family, not because she really resembled one.
The horns/spikes resemble icicles created during strong winds and sometimes tend to have somehow spiralling pattern (though in general they are rather irregular) - the trait that caused Darkstalker's horns to be twisted even though none of the basic tribes is said to have such features. The "icicle" shape is even mentioned in the tribe description and still most of the pictures shows them with regular, smooth "thorns".
And last thing - the famed serrated claws that are supposed to help them "walk on slippery surfaces". That... doesn't work like that. If the barbs on the claws were to be any help during walking, Icewings would have to dig their claws deep into ice on every step and that is not really convenient (nor makes walking any easier nor faster). What actually can help is extremely rough/gecko-like surface of inner side of their paws that would make them "stick" to the ice by thousands of micro-ice-axes instead of just a few big ones (their claws). Serrated claws can be actually useful only when climbing (like actual ice axes) and for fights (causing serious jagged wounds). To match the first case, I added two sets of big claws on their wings and hind legs, so they can really hook themselves in place in case of need (like extremely strong wind).
