I started this painting at my first IMC in 2015, but only did my final touch ups in 2016 after some additional critique. Though I'd dabbled in the medium before, this was my first complete illustration done in oil! It was a big leap for me to do so, and even a few years later I'm still learning a ton from each piece I do in the medium. But this serves as a great reminder that when I get into the zone with it, I can pull off a full oil painting just as well as I could with a digital piece.
Also, thank you to fellow IMC student Rovina Cai for modeling for me-- you guys, her art is ethereal and captivating, and you should go check it out.
