Marcos has a tendency to get himself into plenty of mischief; that mischief usually leads to serious trouble. In this case, Marcos was fiddling around with something he shouldn’t have, and now he’s shrunken down to the size of a mouse! Marcos spent several hours trekking through enormous fields of grass trying to find his way back home, but everything around him looks unrecognizable at his minuscule size. Just when all hope seemed lost, Marcos hears a faint, yet familiar voice in the distance; that same voice seems to be calling out his name. As the familiar voice grows louder, Marcos follows the direction it’s coming from. Soon enough, Marcos spots his younger sister, Maria, heading towards his way. It was going to be dark soon, so Maria was instructed to find her brother and bring him home. Marcos happily calls out his sister’s name and runs towards her, thinking the danger has passed and salvation has arrived. Unfortunately, things quickly take a turn for the worst. Marcos doesn’t seem to catch Maria’s attention, as her own yelling and loud footsteps are drowning his tiny voice. Sure enough, Maria gets closer and closer until her enormous sandaled feet stomp their way towards Marcos! Marcos turns around and runs for dear life as the thundering sounds of his sister’s footsteps come crashing down with each step. Meanwhile, with time running out, Maria picks up the pace and calls out her brother’s name even louder in the hopes of finding him real soon. Little does the young cub realize, she’s already found her lost brother. Question is...will she realize this before it’s too late?

That part about her voice and footsteps drowning out his own voice . . . how humiliating! Especially considering it's his little sister. I'd say he must be feeling pretty embarrassed about his predicament, but something tells me he doesn't have time for that at the moment. Or perhaps that embarrassment is what causes him to fumble when trying to dodge that looming sandal.
As always, you are correct in your assumptions and keen observation, my good sir Truth be told, he is feeling quite embarrassed. It doesn’t help that this may also be an act of karma for all the times he’s mocked/taunted poor Maria for being the younger sibling, along with the belittling nickname of “Squirt” he constantly called her Well, who’s the squirt now, huh?
(Apologies for the late response I don’t know what made me lose track of your wonderful comment)

No problem! I'm sure it can be hard to keep track of them all.
If ever there was karma at play, this is definitely it right here, yeah. Calling her "Squirt" makes it even better! If he's not careful, he may end up a "Squirt" himself, albeit in a slightly different context. Now that would be a humiliating way to go, but very fitting, apparently! Perhaps he ought to treat his "little" sister with more respect.

Oh, I can tell you enjoy comments from the way you respond, to mine and everyone else's. It's part of the reason I make an effort to comment on most of your stuff. Getting a response is just a bonus though; you shouldn't feel obligated!
I actually really like the idea of Marcos pathologically recoiling from the mere sight of his sister's feet after this incident, and it's all the better that she presumably wouldn't even be aware of the reason behind his reactions. I bet it would definitely fill her with a new sense of confidence and control around him though! : P
