Just showing off some glamour shots of my big baby girl, Rumor.
Recent mother of roughly 30, and my favorite of my scorpion collection.

It felt brave the first time, as I used to be terrified of them, living in AZ.
Over the years though, handling them as often as I do, they just become second nature when you learn the personality of every different invert you have. Fortunately most of mine are very predictable, aside from the Leirus Quinquestriatus who can be still as a stone or choose to answer first with his tail. It's not a little peck either, it's full weight lunge.
Overall though, Kisses, as he has been titled, is more of a vanity pet you can appreciate with a respectful distance; but the ones like this are incredibly easy to just scoop.

I've only handled Emperor scorpions and it was briefly. She was cold. And so where my hands so she wasn't in a stingy mood. I'm just..amazed you've got her on your bare leg with no fear.
The only other scorpions I dealt with, where in Iraq and they were "kill on sight" creatures since their venom was a powerful neuro-toxin. Also didn't want to see on at night as the ones that glowed were apparently more dangerous?
And I'll appreciate your friend rather happily behind my computer screen or behind a container of some sort...I'm to much of a coward around Scorpions or arachnids for that matter

Scorpions and centipedes....* Piss shivers *
I never could own one, too many bad encounters with beds of scorpions , learned to blacklight my yard before venturing out barefoot first. Then if found, can of WD-40 and a Bic lighter and Godzilla their ass!
Tarantulas are cool! I miss having tarantulas.
