I am always mystified when a utility vehicle like this 1948 Willys Overland comes equipped with a white steering wheel. Surely, they had to expect working men with greasy and grimy hands would take the wheel. Still, this one has held up very nicely and it does look beautiful.

Manufacturers were providing rear seat belts here in the early 1970s for sure, maybe even the late 1960s. But we always just stuffed them down under the seat back. It didn't become mandatory to actually wear them until decades later. I remember, as a child, standing on the floorboard behind the front seat.
