Lots of me trying to figure out pacing. How many boxes, what scenes do I show... I wasn't sure. I went for kinda key moments I wanted to look for in a animated/filmed set where it's them looking out over the hustle and bustle of people unloading for Cloverly.
Of COURSE I had to make Cotton Crush's sister be the annoying lady with the huge glittery sign screaming his name. She would be so excited to see him, but also mad? Like she did not get good letters from mom and dad about his attitude. So she has to have that one moment of SHARP EYES, LIIIIITTLE BROOOOOTHER I'M GONNA GET YOU.... Cause Smitty honestly can control him. These two love each other very very much and are actual best friends so he tends to shape up if it's smitty doing the talking. And not his parents.
So you just have Smitten Sweets in the background hugging the feathers out of her brother, also casually asking about tang like BOI?? YOU GOT A GIRL ?? WHAT?? she's a huuuge shipper and into romance to an unhealthy degree. So he made sure to cut that real short like, no, don't even. plz. Citrus Tang just awkwardly watches the whole thing happen. But she hears something in the crowd. Almost like her name? She looking through the ponies and creatures walking around, it's only a glance but she thinks she saw her!
Mocha Delight has also found you Citrus Tang!! It's like time slows down for them both. Just to... look at each other. So different yet so incredibly similar. It's a wild thing to behold, to feel like you know them before you ever even met them. Tang looks pretty startled!
