Doran's boot collection
Just a random scrap I thought I'd toss up. I like boots! This probably isn't a secret to anybody who knows me at this point.
Left to right, top row: New Rock Reactor boots, rubber rain boots, Chippewa high shine engineer boots.
middle: Xelement Executioner motorcycle boots, Vibram FiveFingers KSO's, Ridge Dry combat boots, Frye belted harness boots.
Bottom: Renboots thigh high renaissance boots, and knee high renaissance boots.
No, the FiveFingers don't quite fit in here. but they're awesome and fun so I put them in by that reasoning.
No, I don't ride a motorcycle. I just prefer my boots without laces, and for a male, motorcycle boots are about the only option we get.

>..> To be fair, I've acquired all of this over quite a number of years, and a good pair of boots well cared-for doesn't wear out quickly. I will admit all the same that it's a bit more excessive a collection than I strictly need... but that's why they call them hobbies. ;)
Ran across this pic while eyeballing the favorites of someone who recently faved one of my pics. You might find this of interest:

Oooooooh.... okay, this is indeed interesting! Thanks very much. :) Just at a quick glance, I am indeed seeing a lot there that matches my annoyingly particular sense of style in men's boots... I am very interested. I will have to investigate and may lose some money to this place. Thanks again!
Y'welcome. I ran across that particular store while scouting out some rainboots (not so easy in the US for a guy) owing to the messy winter we've been having (meaning "slush lakes everywhere").
After spending hours rifling through that place (they have a separate section for rain boots--unfortunately not filtered by gender), I found a suitable pair on Amazon, whose selection compared to its UK version is on the sparse side. Ironically the model I went with was from a UK company anyway.

Mmmf, yeah the winter you guys have been having over there I can well imagine! It sure looks like a neat site with a lot of styles for men's boots that are hard to find elsewhere, even if they didn't work out for your rainboots. Amusingly, one of the first things I bought myself upon arriving in the UK (I'm from Michigan originally) was a good pair of Hunter rainboots! They're useful over here...
Thanks! I've gotten them from a lot of different places - some from renaissance festivals, some from local stores, some from Ebay, some from https://www.stompersboots.com/ which served me well when I lived in the US.
