Wow, I've been toying with a graphic novel idea in my head and the main character is someone who is "haunted" by a dark soul, very similar to herself and I have to say, your idea here hits me so hard as what my character's dark haunting would appear as. This is really cool and I hope you don't mind if I mess around with the visual you've created here in my head.
