Part 1 of a comic commission done by the delightful

Rodent finds himself being pursued by Kaytif and comes across a cave. Believing the opening is too small for Kaytif to follow in after him, Rodent scurries inside, thinking he's managed to elude the hunter. We'll have to wait for part 2, to see if the rat was right. ;)
My thanks to KeeFox for taking this commission and doing such a wonderful job with the first part. I love the sequence of events here, wonderfully showing Rodent's desperation to escape and the playful casualness of Kaytif's pursuit. I'm looking forward to seeing part 2. :)

Bukaw!
I could easily see Swiftwind pulling his beak from the crevice, confident in his ability to capture poor Rodent! The eagle looks smugged on his beaky face, standing there proudly with Rodent caught in his beak. Until he opens his eyes after hearing an unusual (but very familiar!) hissing sound!
BUKAW!
Swiftwind stands there shivering inside of his feathers and sweating it out as the lighted fuse extinguishes inside of the dynamite stick.
KABOOM!
Swiftwind's blown out of his own feathers, smouldering in a very pink and naked shell of his former feathery self! *cluck!*
Meanwhile, Rodent peeks out of his own hole to look up, stare, laugh and point at a bomb-blasted birdy! ;)
*giggles* (Awwwww. Swiftwind still adores you, though! Even if the eagle is intent on making you his prey!) :D
