Looks like Tydas heard that 
PassyVoreX was offering himself up to be a meal for lots of bigger dragons (not that the little red derg would admit it~), and he wasn't about to pass up the opportunity! It's just the red tail left outside of his mouth, and he's simply deciding how slowly he wants to slurp it in~ ...Or whether he really wants to have fun with his prey and slurp it up before spitting it out only to slurp it in again and again and again!
